"I would like to say that I trust Dr. Lori Smith implicitly with the care of all of my animals. She has been my vet for a number of years. Our relationship started in the later years of my sweet boy Mojo who was a Labrador retriever. He unfortunately had a spinal stroke at the age of 14 and she managed his care. I remember taking him in when the clinic opened in the morning because he had lost the use of his back legs. She worked with him all day and was with me when I had to make a very difficult decision. I tell this story because it did not end here…she knew what a special part of my life he was and when there were some lab mix puppies that needed a home a few months later, she had the clinic contact me. I went to the clinic to see the puppies, still very hesitant after my loss, but one of those puppies gravitated to me. This story is special to me because Dr. Lori remembers the needs of her clients both animal and people. I named the baby I adopted Jet. He filled a huge void in my life, but the story continues. He was a happy, healthy boy until around the age of 1 year. I noticed that he did not have as much energy as usual and took him in to see her one morning. She checked his hematocrit and it was dangerously low. She was so concerned that she brought one of her dogs in that same day to give him a blood transfusion. We went through multiple other blood transfusions that involved meeting on the weekends for my boy. It was through her tireless efforts with Jet, that I was fortunate to have him for a number of years. She was also by my side when I had to say “goodbye”. I believe this story speaks volumes to the character of Dr. Smith. She cares deeply for her clients, digs to find solutions, offers options to the owners, and always provides the best quality of care."

After trying several vets in the Conway area, we found Dr. Lori was extremely thorough, and went above and beyond to find out the answers we needed. Recently, when our dog went through a major health crisis, she oversaw his blood transfusion and continued to stay on top of his care. She had no problem directing us to a specialist and consulting with him when our dog needed it most. As our dog got healthier, she celebrated every milestone with us! "When one of my new puppies had parvo symptoms on a Friday afternoon, Dr Lori not only worked them in for an appointment, she pre-emptively started treatment for BOTH puppies, knowing it was possible the other would break with symptoms over the weekend. Her prediction was correct, and being armed with tools to start treatment on the other puppy over the weekend not only saved us a trip to the expensive ER vet over the weekend, it saved her life. Dr Lori also removed a small tumor from my senior dog’s leg in a place where healing could have been difficult. She was able to make very careful and small incisions that allowed skin coverage to remain intact, allowing the incisions to heal quickly and smoothly. I also love that when Dr Lori finds an issue with one of my animals, she takes the time to educate me on what symptoms to look for in the future that might indicate another problem. Knowing what to look for ahead of time has helped me treat my dogs’ ailments earlier, also making them ultimately less expensive to contend with. She is a GREAT vet and I will always trust her with my animals!"
